Following a spinal study using x-ray and injections into the spine a patient is diagnosed with meningitis and alleges that he contracted an infection during the spinal procedure. The insured facility did not follow proper sterilization protocol and was held accountable for the infection.

Delayed MRI results

An outpatient imaging center contracts with a physician to read and interpret MRIs, and in one instance the physician fails to provide an accurate interpretation of the exam in a timely fashion. The delay of treatment lead to further injury of the patient including partial paralysis and the imaging center is accused of being vicariously liable for this physician’s work.
