The process


Step 1:
Report the claim

Your client can report the claim directly to us, or you can submit it on their behalf:

Fill out a quick form and include applicable attachments. You will receive a copy of your submission via email.

Step 2:
Claim acknowledgment

Within one business day, Hiscox will email your client a reference number and contact details. Instructions will be included for claims that need urgent handling.


Step 3:
A claims representative is assigned

Within two business days, a specialized claims representative will contact the policyholder to gather information, explain the next steps, and answer any questions regarding the process.


Step 4:
Coverage is validated

The claims representative will review the claim details and supporting information to determine whether the claim is covered.


Step 5:
Claim decision

The claims representative will contact your client with the coverage decision and inform them of next steps.

Based on the complexity, type of claim, and unforeseen factors, the time it takes to resolve a claim can vary. Our goal is to review and resolve each claim as quickly and thoroughly as possible.
